Juan Sanchez, pastor of High Pointe Baptist, has personally invited us to join his church on Sunday, February 9, at 5:00 PM as they host Dr. Mohler for a discussion on current cultural trends and their effects on us, our churches, and our witness. This evening gathering on February 9 will be a good opportunity for us to hear about the current cultural trends and hear how one person is interpreting them and their effects through a Christian lens. If you would like to attend, there is no cost. Childcare is available for infants - 5 yr old.

Dr. Mohler serves as the president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary - the flagship school of the Southern Baptist Convention. Dr. Mohler hosts two programs daily: “The Briefing,” a daily analysis of news and events from a Christian worldview; and “Thinking in Public,” a series of conversations with the day’s leading thinkers. He is a leading thinker in cultural issues among evangelicals in America, particularly among Baptist. He has appeared on various television programs including Larry King Live, The Today Show, Dateline NBC, Good Morning America, and The O’reilly Factor.

An avid reader and writer, Dr. Mohler has published several books, among others, such as Cultural Shift: Engaging Cultural Issues With Timeless Truth; Atheism Remix: A Christian Confronts the New Atheists; The Disappearance of God: Dangerous Beliefs in the New Spiritual Openness. More about Dr. Mohler's ministries can be found at http://www.albertmohler.com.

We truly hope you will attend with us to sharpen your understanding of the world around us and the importance of Christ. You will be informed and encouraged in your faith!
