1) We Have a Great Gospel. Ephesians 1 tells that all who are in Christ have been adopted to God according to the purpose of his will. In Christ we are adopted.
2) We Have a Great Need and Opportunity. If just one family in every three churches in the US adopted a child there would be no more children waiting for a forever home.
3) To Glorify God. As we live out the nature and character of God which we see in the gospel, then God is on display to our community and our nation.
Two weeks we will hear from Chase Bowers, Missions Pastor at Temple Bible Church in Temple, Tx. Chase and his wife Laura (who spoke at Milwood's last luncheon) have adopted three children themselves, including two boys locally and one from Rwanda.
